A stunning wedding on the Uluwatu cliffs, with around a hundred guests from Australia and Indonesia — a magnificent Javanese-themed ceremony at sunset, followed by cocktails and a festive evening celebration.
A wedding with a Javanese theme
In October 2019, Yunika and Kieran brought together around a hundred guests from Australia and Indonesia on the Uluwatu cliffs for a ceremony steeped in Javanese traditions. Balinese dancers in traditional costume welcomed the guests, and the ceremony included the Javanese foot-washing ritual, a symbol of filial respect.
The decoration matched the spectacular setting: a white floral arch facing the ocean, fairy lights and tables adorned with tropical floral arrangements.

The ceremony at sunset
The ceremony took place at sunset facing the Indian Ocean. After the bride’s entrance on her father’s arm, the couple exchanged their vows, rings and signed the certificates. The Javanese foot-washing tradition was then celebrated before the moved guests.
Reception & festive evening
After a romantic photoshoot and group photos, the cocktail hour opened with a live acoustic band before dinner. The evening was enlivened by speeches, the cutting of the cake, and then our DJ kept the party going until the early hours.
